Dareth, the Seer

One of My OC's from a book I'm writing. (disclaimer; originally a friend's roleplaying character that I decided to adopt!)
From a young age, Dareth was chosen by the gods as a Seer to shelter mankind from a potential apocalypse. He lives a luxorious life in a castle, fortelling the future for the ruling Magistracy and acts quite depressed and isolated at the start of the novel. He collects minerals and has a hobby of breaking open magical Geodes. He can appear as cold as a rock, ruthless and callous but deep down he's a soft and loving fellow.
---
I started this project in July 2019, and has been my designated weekend project until now. I wanted to convey Dareth's personality in the design of his Magistrate uniform which is a mix of Royal Tudor style gowns and some later cuts from the 1600's and 1700's. Also wanted to give his clothes a very heavy feel, stone-like in it's texture to convey his character even more.

For the eyes I followed a bunch of tutorials, mostly this one: https://marmoset.co/posts/how-to-create-realistic-hair-peach-fuzz-and-eyes/

The Geode was tricky to texure. I baked a bunch of crystals made with IMM's in Zbrush, and tweaked the emissive from different depth's masks and dirt masks in Substance Painter.

Some Work Progress! Forgot to save the step between the sketch and the Sculpt. Used Marvelous for the cape, the pants and the jerkin. Hair was made in Zbrush using broad fibers, and some manual adjustment in Maya. Everything texured in Substance painter.
